NS-Prime® and AA01: Our Discrete Clinical Chemistry Analyzers

Analyzers Dedicated for FIT, Fecal Transferrin and Fecal Calprotectin Testing

Alfresa Pharma has developed and marketed two specialized equipments that can simultaneously measure FIT (fecal hemoglobin levels), fecal transferrin levels and fecal calprotectin levels. One is Discrete Clinical Chemistry Analyzer NS-Prime® and the other is Discrete Clinical Chemistry Analyzer AA01. Both analyzers are easy to operate and provide results in a short amount of time. In addition, both have many features such as simultaneous multiple assay, and automatic dilution and retest function.
There is no difference in the measurement principle or measurement items between these two analyzers, allowing the users to choose either one according to the testing environment and purpose at the institution, such as processing capacity, sample capacity, and analyzer size.
For details, please refer to the basic specifications table of the analyzers.

3 Easy Steps Using NS-Prime® and AA01

Results can be obtained in the following 3 steps.
In step 1, the patients collect a small amount of stool in a dedicated specimen collection container at home (home sampling) or elsewhere. In step 2, place the specimen collection containers, reagents, and reaction cells (AA01 only) into the analyzer in the laboratory, and press the start button. In step 3, the analyzer automatically outputs the results (AA01 has a built-in printer to print the results). The results are obtained after approximately 10 to 15 minutes with the NS-Prime® and AA01, respectively, after pressing the start button.

Key Features of NS-Prime® and AA01

  • Fully automatic, easy to operate, and dedicated Walkaway system
  • Multiple items can be measured simultaneously during FIT (fecal hemoglobin), fecal transferrin and fecal calprotectin tests
  • Easy operation with a barcode system (reagent, calibrator, control, specimen collection container, and specimen diluent can be automatically registered)
  • Automatic retest system evolved from the previous model is adopted (a concentration-specific retest function has been added to the automatic dilution and retest function, which was highly evaluated by users)
